You are leaving Switzerland to live, study or travel abroad.
What are the options for continuing to contribute to the OASI/DI scheme from abroad?

Joining the voluntary OASI/DI scheme

If you are domiciled abroad and are no longer insured under the compulsory OASI/DI/EO scheme, you may, under certain conditions, join the voluntary OASI/DI scheme.

If you travel abroad without taking up residence there, you will remain subject to the compulsory OASI/DI/EO scheme in Switzerland.

If this is your situation, please register with the cantonal office of your last place of residence in Switzerland.

Students

If you leave Switzerland to study abroad and are not in gainful employment, you may, under certain conditions, remain insured under the compulsory OASI/DI/EO scheme until 31 December of the year in which you turn 30.

Expatriation (Posted workers)

If you are employed and working temporarily in another country for your Swiss employer, you will remain insured under the compulsory OASI/DI/EO scheme.
