Disability pension
To be entitled to a Swiss disability pension, you must fulfil the following conditions:
- be at least aged 18
- have been unable to work and earn at least 40% of your previous income for one year without interruption
There are two pension systems, depending on when entitlement begins:
The degree of disability for the benefits granted is determined in accordance with the applicable Swiss legal provisions and is in no way linked to the decisions of the social security authorities in the insured person's country of origin or residence.
